faq.
who are you lot?
a tiny studio in sydney. we spent ten years making souvenirs in vietnam (product simplified, then the decor hub), then flew south. bin chicken collective is what happened next.
why the bin chicken?
because it’s the most australian bird there is. it’s loud, it’s resourceful, it’s everywhere, and everyone has a story about one. also it was free to draw.
are the drawings really hand-drawn?
yes. one wobbly brush line, two colours, no clip-art. every design is drawn in-house, then screen printed or printed locally.
why only two colours?
it’s cheaper to print, it looks better on a tote, and it stops us getting carried away. six colour pairs, no exceptions.
can i pick the colourway?
on most things, yes. on the product page pick any of the six pairs. the photo shows the original, yours comes in the one you picked.
do you do wholesale?
we do. shops, galleries, gift stores, servos with taste: say g’day on the contact page and we’ll send the wholesale sheet.
do you ship overseas?
not yet. australia only for now. the ibis doesn’t have a passport.
is the bin chicken a protected species?
it is, in most states. please don’t chase them. let them chase you, like nature intended.
can i suggest a drawing?
please do. the artists page has a “pitch us your bin” form. if we draw it, you get the first one free.
